What if we can navigate through life and tackle critical decision making with design thinking? “Designing Your Life” is a class taught at Stanford University (the school’s “most popular class,” according to Fast Company magazine) that trains students to think like designers when it comes to tackling wicked problems in life. On 6/26 (Monday), Emily Tsiang, Life Design Fellow at Stanford, will guide us through an interactive workshop that covers: (1) Ideating on our future selves (2) Sourcing the crowd for connections Come join us for a reflective, inspirational, and explorative evening with fellow female professionals on their life journey.

Emily is a Life Design Fellow at Stanford University where she teaches courses in the Design Program and at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school) at Stanford. She has been featured at SXSW, co-founded CULTURE LABx and has led workshops at Cisco, Autodesk, Airbnb, and General Assembly. Before her foray into tech, Emily spent a decade in urban economic development and served in the Mayor's Office of Los Angeles, Boston, and New York City. Emily enjoys playing in the antidisciplinary—the space between or beyond disciplines— and currently exploring design's role in behavioral health. She recently co-authored Sleep Wise, a book on how circadian rhythms influence our sleep health, and hosts Wake Up San Francisco, a mindfulness circle inspired by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. She received her BA in Economics & East Asian Studies from UCLA and a MBA in Organizational Strategy & Design from the University of Michigan, where she co-founded Design+Business.
